Diplomate or board-eligible Veterinary Ophthalmologist

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our newly refurbished ophthalmology referral hospital in Banbury. We are looking for a diplomate or board eligible clinician to join our growing team, which currently consists of one diplomate (Mike Rhodes), one ECVO resident and an experienced nursing team.

As a small, family run independent business, we pride ourselves in maintaining the highest possible clinical standards and in providing a personal service to referring vets and clients. Run by vets, we recognise the importance of well-being amongst our staff, a good work/life balance and champion environmental sustainability as a key element in our business development.

Our exceptional facilities include 4 well-equipped consultation rooms, including a feline only room, Oertli Faros phacoemulsification, corneal cross-linking, diode laser with micropulse capability, RETevet (LKG) ERG, 2 operating microscopes, newly refurbished GE ultrasound scanner, ventilators, extensive prep area, 2 purpose built spacious operating theatres and separate dog and cat wards.

Banbury is positioned in the county of Oxfordshire, with surrounding beautiful countryside and easy access to the Cotswolds. Oxford, London and most of the country are within reach thanks to its central location.

Enthusiasm, positivity, pride in excellent clinical care, initiative, the ability to work as part of a team and thoughtful, clear communication are the key skills for our next team member.

We are happy to discuss a generous package for the right candidate:

  • Full or part-time hours considered
  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience
  • 4-5 weeks holiday plus birthday leave
  • RCVS, VDS and relevant subscriptions
  • CPD is encouraged and funded, dependent on individual goals
  • Pension
  • Participation in a quiet 1 in 3 rota – calls screened via answering service

For more information or to arrange an informal discussion please email Mike Rhodes (mike@focusreferrals.co.uk) or Alice Rhodes (alice@focusreferrals.co.uk).

Please send a CV and covering letter to apply.
